International Art Fair in Basel in June
The world's premier international art show for modern and contentemporary works, Art Basel features nearly 300 leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asis and Africa. More than 2,500 artists, ranging from the great masters of Modern art to the latest generation of emerging stars, are represented in the show's multiple sections. The exhibition includes the highest- quality paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs, video and editioned works.

With its world-class museums, outdoor sculptures, theatres, concert halls, idyllic medieval old town and new buildings by leading architects, Basel ranks as a culture capital, and that culture richness helps put the Art Basel week on the agenda for art lovers from all over the globe. During Art Basel, a fascinating atmosphere fills this traditional city, as the international art show is reinforced with exhibitions and events all over the region.
Located on the banks of the Rhine, at the border between Switzerland, France and Germany, Basel is easily navigated by foot and by trams. The International Art Fair is being held 6th June - 20th June 2010.

Jazz Festival Montreux July 2010
Since it began in 1967 when it was a three-day event, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become a stupendous 16-day affair, running from 2nd to 17th July 2010 headlined by jazz, blues, rock, world music, rap, electro, pop and soul luminaries. Miles Davis, Maria Bethania, Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Davis Sanborn, George Benson, Eric Clapton, Sting, Oscar Peterson, Roberta Flack, Dizzy Gillespie, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Al Jarreau, Jamiroquai, Radiohead, Phil Collins, Alicia Keys, Santana, Black Eyed Peas, Muse, Joss Stone, among others.

Every year, up to 220,000 visitors come to Montreux in order to attend the Festival concerts split in to three concerts halls. Some musical cruises and trains are also part of the programme. The visitors can as well enjoy the numerous free performances: acoustic concerts, the Voice, The Guitar and the Piano Solo Competitions, the Workshops, etc. Not to be forgotten the Montreux Jazz Under The Sky which spreads all over the town of Montreux.

63rd International Film Festival Locarno August 2010
Throughout its 62 year history, the Locarno International Film Festival has occupied a unique position in the landscape of the major film festivals. Every August around 160,000 cinema goers, 1,000 journalists and 3,000 industry professionals converge on the small Swiss-Italian town of Locarno, right in the heart of Europe, which becomes the world capital of auteur cinema for eleven days. In 2010 it runs from 4th -14th August.

Locarno knows no borders, geographic, thematic or stylistic, and in a dozen different sections it welcomes all kinds of films, and all kinds of formats. Then, at nightfall, before an audience of 8,000 people, the famous open-air screenings in the extraordinary setting of the Piazza Grande are celebratory and magical occasions for all movie fans.

Last but not least, Locarno - also known as the ''Lady of the Camellias'' - lures visitors with its southern charm, Mediterranean climate and sub-tropical vegetation. This beautiful setting is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions, whether a boat trip on Lake Maggiore, or a trip into the remote valleys of Locarno's hinterland.

''Weltkasse Zurich'' is being held on the 19th August and for decades it has had the reputation of being the world's most renowned track-and-field event. At no other athletics venue can spectators year after year be sure of experiencing such an electric atmosphere as in the Letzigrund Stadium. ''Weltkasse Zurich'' stands for quality and tradition in sport, its 79-year history just one long list of records and breathtaking photo finishes. Since its inception, ''Weltkasse Zurich'' has seen a total of 24 world, and 250 Swiss records broken.

Blue Balls Festival Luzern July
This international festival is being held 23rd - 31st July 2010. The Blue Ball Festival, with 10,000 visitors, is one of the biggest music festivals in Switzerland, excellent quality and probably the most popular. The atmosphere around the Lake Lucerne with the CCFL, the open-air pavilion and the late night shows at the Hotel Schweizerhof make it unique. There are over 100 events: blues, jazz, soul, funk, world music, rock and pop concerts, music, photography, videos and Street Art Below are some impressions of the festival.

Tour de Suisse June 2010
The stage towns of next year's Tour de Suisse are fixed. All start and finish areas are located in Switzerland, apart from one small section on the second leg of the route will be covered exclusively on Swiss soil.
The Tour de Suisse crosses all language regions of Switzerland every year. The route will be as follows:
