If you still have your reservation confirmation to hand, check what it told you was included the rate, and if it said there would be any extra costs locally. Then compare your reservation confirmation to your final invoice and see if there any additional items listed. See 'My Rental Quote Explained', to understand what you've been charged for. I was told something was included in the cost buy I've been charged separately for it, it's listed on my invoice? When you booked your car either by telephone or on the internet, you were given a quote which should have included all mandatory costs and VAT in the total. These costs and VAT are outlined separately on the invoice you receive but the total cost should still be the same as the original quote. If not, please check for additional items. Check the rental documentation you signed when you collected the car, you'll see clearly what (if any) extras you agreed to purchase, by seeing where you initialled on the form. If you have checked all of your documents, and read our section on 'My Rental Quote Explained', and still believe you have been charged for something incorrectly then please email customerservice@avis.co.uk. If your rental was in the UK we will respond within 5 working days, if your rental took place outside the UK, we will respond within 15 working days. Our worldwide Reservations & Rental System, Wizard! Automatically converts charges from the currency of the rental country to the currency of the country where the renter lives, unless it is manually overridden. We use a mid market exchange rate, which is outlined on your rental agreement, and while it is not always the most competitive it is fairly commensurate with rates used by other vendors for small transactions. You can choose to be billed in the currency of the country you are renting in, in fact our staff would normally offer you this option, and then the charge will be converted to £ by your credit card company at the rate they are using on the day the charge is applied to your account. We post our invoices to the address provided by the driver at the time of rental, and it's input to our system from the Driving Licence details. It is possible that a previous resident at your address has not changed his address details with the DVLA. Unfortnately, the DVLA cannot change address details without instructions from the licence holder. Simply return the invoice to Customer Services, Avis Rent A Car, Trident House, Station Road, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 4DJ. It takes 5-7 working days for an invoice to reach you. Have you changed address recently, and not updated your driving licence details? Please click here to request a copy invoice. | |||||||
