Hi Krzysztof,

Thank you for your comment and I am sorry to here about this.

I am afraid I do not know the answer to your question as this should not be the case. If you could email me your rental agreement number and details of the rental that you booked then I will follow this up with our reservation team and will get back to you with some answers. Please email at comments@avis.co.uk.

Thanks

Hi
I would like to konw why my rental price is changing?! I have booked a car about 2 weeks ago and paid with my credit card. I called your local office at Earls Court and they have told me that I have apparently booked the car 1 or 2 classes lower. I checked my booking confirmation and it says large one, Ford Mondeo class. When I called your res. centre they said the prices are life and they are changing all the time. My question is what is the point to give the price while booking and paid for it straight away and not even put estimated price when the price is going to change?!!! I'm very upset about your response and hope someone will get back to me about it as I'm seriously considering cancelling my Christmas trip for 18 days!.

Regards,

Krzysztof

Hello Chris and thank you for your comment, the reason rates are cheaper on Avis.com is that they do not include any insurance. US customers are covered for insurance on their credit cards and so the rates booked are lower. Prices on avis.co.uk include insurance, this has to be added by law as you have to be insured to rent and drive a car. I hope this helps.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your comment.

The website price includes all mandatory charges and, if selected, the price of the optional extras that can be pre-paied or at least reserved online.

I hope this helps, but if you have any other questions please let me know.

just so you know - i have been hiring lots of avis cars - perhaps40 days per year - I've changed supplier as you do not include the total price I pay on your website. There is always an extra to remove the insurance excess and you never say what it is.
