<description>I&#039;ve just read your answer(72) to blog 71 which says &#039;&#039;I can confirm when you rent a acar with Avis in Spain you can travel into France at no additional cost. Just make sure to let the Avis staff at time of pick up ..............&#039;&#039; yet the terms and conditions in the Avis website seems to indicate otherwise. Please explain. Thanks.

		<description>Hello Chris,

In order to travel to other European Countries, you will need to pay the Travel East charge, this is 8.00 EUR per day of rental and is paid locally at time of pick up.

The underage surcharge is of 11.90EUR including tax per day , maximum charge is 10 days.

I hope this helps Chris.

<description>Hello. Similar to the questions above. I plan to pick up at Munich Airport on Saturday 2nd July and drop the car back off there on Sunday 17th July (15 days hire). I intend to do do a little loop of central Europe passing through Austria, Slovenia and Czech Republic. I gather this is possible but how much will I have to pay for the Avis&#039; Continental Cover package? Unfortunately i&#039;m 24 so i&#039;ll get stung by the young driver surcharge as well - is this still possible?

Many thanks!

<description>I have a Group L van booked to collect from Frankfurt Main when I fly in there for a holiday next month, dropping off in Berlin two weeks later. Looking at the map, I thought I might travel via Karloy Vary, in the Czech Republic (passing through the C.R. in one day, not overnighting) but my confirmation mentions a) The customer must advise counter to receive the necessary documentation and b) an additional fee of 8.00 EUR per day will apply.

I have two questions 1) Is there somewhere I need to email this request so the paperwork is ready beforehand and 2) would that 8.00EUR be applied for every day of the hire, even though my C.R. transit is just one day?

I can avoid the border crossing if needs be, it would just make the trip a little longer - and at 14 x 8.00 EUR it certainly would be cheaper!

Thanks.

		<description>Dear Kruno,

When renting with Avis in Southern Ireland, you can drive up to Northern Ireland and return the vehicle back into Southern Ireland with no additional costs.

The tax is already included in your quotation, no further surcharges will apply when crossing over to Northen Ireland.

Hope this helps.

		<description>Hi everybody!

I&#039;m planning trip to Ireland in July, 2011. I&#039;m Croatian citizen. I would like to rent a car from Avis in Dublin and drive it through Ireland and Northern Ireland, but return it in Dublin again at the end of my trip.

Am I obliged to pay Continental Cover or any other additional tax?

Thanks for the reply!
