At Avis we are excited to announce that we are adding the NEW Jaguar XJ to our Avis Prestige fleet.
The original Jaguar XJ was a car that epitomised luxury and comfort and those credentials remain unchanged with the new 2010 model. This is Jaguar’s flagship saloon, and the first launch under new owners Tata Motors.
The previous model couldn’t help but start to look dated and the new XJ has undergone a radical change from the original body style, which was little changed for 40 years.
Whilst the new XJ resembles the XF, it’s fabulous to look at and at the forefront of technology with many functions controlled by a touch-screen allowing easy programming of the sat-nav system.
The interior exudes quality with the leather and wood finish and the impressive Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system which pipes your desired tunes through an array of speakers, including three in each door, two on the dashboard, four surround speakers on the parcel shelf, and two subwoofers!
This car is part of the Avis Prestige executive saloon range available for delivery from London, Heathrow and Manchester.
If you have rented this car or plan to we would love to get your feedback.

Great news!
New XJ is a stunner and if it drives anything like the XF I’ll be renting one!
Now when are we going to see something really exciting being added to the Select fleet…?

I take your point on Select Series, Robert. We tried very hard to get some new and exciting cars on Select for the summer but there was limited choice from the manufacturers. That being said, the range has recently been expanded to include the Megane Coupe and new shape E Class and we are close to sealing a deal on a rather funky car which we hope to introduce to the fleet shortly. I stress the word “hopefully” because these things have often not come to fruition before. But I can give you a hint… you spoke rather favourably on it when you wrote your review of the Frankfurt Motor Show.

And I have a feeling I know exactly what car you’re talking about!

248 Euro’s for a category E car for 4 days and one of them was supposed to be FREE are you having a laugh. Got stung by the full tank of petrol we had to buy and ended up with sending it back half full. Got stung by the your card won’t accept the accidental damage insurance charge of 1000 Euro’s and is reimbursed upon return. So had to take it out the cover so my card would accept it. Yes the car was nice and clean and did its job, but why did a feel mugged when the sales rep tried to shake my hand when i received the keys. Avis “We try harder” what a joke. Will never ever use you again.

Front looks great, very bold, much better even than the XF. I love the black C pillars, make it look genually elegant.

I have been trying to hire the XJ in Manchester for the weekend beginning 17.06.2011 and ending on Monday 20.06.2011. I have been informed by AVIS that the XJ is only available in London and not Manchester.
