Our car hire sales and service desk is ready to serve you at Schiphol Plaza, just behind Arrivals.
The city is about 9 miles northeast of the airport, roughly 20 minutes by car. You’ll need to take the A4 road, which then leads to the A10 Amsterdam ring road for easy access to the capital. Travelling slightly further afield? To the southwest, The Hague and Rotterdam are around 28 and 37 miles away respectively. To the southeast, Utrecht is an easy half-hour’s drive.
You’re bound to come across a large number of cyclists on the roads here. Please note that bicycles have right of way! The speed limit on motorways is 120 km/h (74 mph) and 80 km/h (49 mph) on major roads. The speed in towns is restricted to 50 km/h (31 mph).

Winter equipment: We can provide a range of equipment for the colder months, such as ski racks, snow chains and snow tyres. Just let us know what you require when you make your booking, and we’ll do the rest.
Satellite navigation: With our GPS service, you no longer need to worry about deciphering signs and directions in a foreign language.
Child seats: Bringing the family? Child seats are compulsory in The Netherlands for children under 1.35 m in height.
