Child Safety
It is required by UK law that any child under 12 years old or under 135cm in height (approx 4ft 5ins) must use an appropriate child restraint - Please ask your Avis representative to help make sure the correct child seat is fitted.

Avis supply a range of baby/child seats that will ensure you have the correct seat for your child. All of our baby/child seats can be requested at time of booking and in Mainland UK will be charged at the rates below:
How to book a Child Seat with Avis
- An Avis Child Seat can be reserved during your booking process by ticking the Child Seat request box which will be clearly displayed on the Pricing and Optional Extras page of the booking engine.
- Reserve a Child Seat via our call centre or add to an existing reservation by calling 0844 581 0147.

Useful advice for travelling with children
- Ensure your child seat is fitted correctly before commencing your journey
- Never place a rear-facing baby seat on a front passenger seat equipped with an airbag
- Never leave your child alone inside the car
- Always use the child-locks on rear doors of your vehicle
- Always travel with adequate liquids for children - water, juices, etc.
- Break up your journey by stopping every two hours
- Prepare games/activities in advance to keep your children occupied
