Roadside Assistance Plus as standard
Our premium Roadside Assistance Plus service comes as standard on all rentals when you buy an Avis Drive Gold card. It covers all non-mechanical breakdowns so, if you run in to some bad luck, you don’t have to worry about paying for things like flat batteries, damaged tyres or lost keys.

How do I receive my benefits when booking on avis.co.uk?
Before booking
Make sure you are logged in to your account before making a booking. If you are registering as an Avis Drive member for the first time, please follow the account creation instructions below. If you are already a member of Avis Preferred, you can log in as usual using your existing credentials.
During the booking process
The rental price according to your membership is automatically calculated and inclusions and options are automatically added.
Upon your arrival at the station
If this is your first rental as an Avis Preferred member, please go to the Avis desk as normal.
If this is not your first rental as an Avis Preferred member, your rental agreement has already been created. In this case, pick up your keys at the Avis Preferred counter and start your journey.
The small print
* Discounts for rentals in Europe include the countries listed below. Exceptions where the discounts do not apply are listed in brackets after the respective country:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France (excluding Corsica), Germany, Greece, Italy (except Sardinia), Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK (except Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Orkney, Barrow in Furness, Blackpool, Carlisle, Chester, Warrington, Torquay Train Station, Lerwick City Centre, Lerwick Ferry Terminal, Sumburgh Airport).
The Avis station network includes independent licencees who are free to participate in the Drive programme.
The benefits of Drive membership only apply at the Avis stations that participate in the programme.
Certain franchisees reserve the right to offer discounts only during certain periods.

Your profile may already contain a discount code (AWD). If you wish, you can cancel your current code to subscribe to the Drive offer. We can process your request here.

Your Drive membership is valid for one year.
I already have a discount code. Why can't I purchase Drive membership?
Your profile may already contain a discount code (AWD). If you wish, you can cancel your current discount code to subscribe to the Drive offer. Click here to submit your request.

I am already a member of Avis Preferred. Can I purchase Drive membership?
As an Avis Preferred member, you can purchase the Drive membership of your choice. Your Avis Preferred and Drive benefits complement each other.
I just purchased a Drive membership. Should I also sign up for Avis Preferred?
By purchasing a Drive membership, you are automatically a member of the free Avis Preferred loyalty programme. You will receive all relevant Avis Preferred benefits, which will be combined with your Drive membership.
How do I extend my Drive membership when it expires?
An extension of a Drive membership is not guaranteed under the same conditions as the initial membership. It is available at the price and terms in effect at the time of subscription renewal.
Do I have to keep the same Drive membership tier if I renew?
You are free to choose the membership of your choice during the renewal period. There is no auto-renewal setting for this product.
I purchased a Drive membership, but my benefits were not applied.

I subscribed to a Drive membership but cannot access my account online.
After buying your Drive membership, you will need to create an online profile using your Drive customer number, which you received via email. Please follow the account creation steps included in your confirmation email.
If you are already an Avis Preferred member, log in to your account at avis.co.uk. Your Drive benefits have been added to your personal account.
Do I benefit from the promotions offered on avis.co.uk with my Drive membership?
Drive benefits cannot be combined with other promotions and offers on the Avis.co.uk website and other partner sites.
Can I cancel my Drive membership?
You have 14 days to exercise your right of withdrawal and have the purchase price refunded. If you decide to withdraw within 14 days of your purchase and you have not made a booking using your Avis Drive membership, we will refund you the full amount of your membership.
If you have already used your Avis Drive membership to make a booking within 14 days of purchase and no rental has occurred, we will refund you the full amount of your Avis Drive membership. All your bookings made with Avis Drive will then be cancelled. In this case we refer you to the “Terms and Conditions” section of this page. Please fill out the cancellation form and we will refund you as quickly as possible. The general rental conditions apply.
