Once you reach the airport, you’ll find us on the lower floor in the Arrivals hall. The airport is around 5 miles out of Faro and you can get to the city very easily by taking the N125 road.
   

Wherever you are travelling to in the Algarve, you’ll be able to get there quickly and easily from the well-situated airport. Albufeira, Vilamoura, Portimão and Quinto Do Lago are all under an hour away.
  
  
Faro itself is also well worth a visit. Why not spend some time here on your way in or out and discover its old town, museums, beaches and charming outdoor cafés.
  
   
For safe and sensible motoring in Portugal, remember that the speed limit on the motorway is 120 kilometres (74 miles) per hour. You may be interested to know there is also a minimum speed limit of 50 kilometres (31 miles) per hour! Make sure you have photographic ID on you at all times as this is also a legal requirement.

Child seats: Portuguese law requires that children under 12 years old and less than 1.5 m tall are seated in a suitable child restraint. Just ask for one when you book your rental car.
