Winter: In January, be sure to attend the Blue Spring Manatee Festival as it aims to raise money for the Blue Spring State Park. In February watch the Silver Spurs Rodeo which has been taking place every year since 1944 and is a holiday for children and schoolteachers. In December, stick around for the New Year celebrations in many of Orlando's theme parks.
Spring: Visit the Central Florida Fair in March, a fair that attracts 250,000 people every year. Go to the Easter Surfing Festival in April and watch people of all ages compete, from 6 to 60. In May enjoy all kinds of live music at the Florida Music Festival.
Summer: Florida Film Festival attracts movie-lovers in June. Orlando enjoys live music, food and wine at the Summer Music Series in from May to September at Bok Tower Gardens. Tickets for the event ensure entry into the gardens all day and an optional dinner. In August an Anime Festival runs for 3 days, including dance workshops, panels and karaoke.
Autumn: The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival runs annually from September to November. It offers a range of cuisine, succulent tapas and refreshing drinks as well as demonstrations by renowned chefs. In October Halloween is taken very seriously, and everyone dresses up to celebrate. The touching nightly Candlelight Processional performances start in November and include choirs, an orchestra and well-known celebrities reading the nativity story.
