Take either junction 23a or 24 off of the M1 and pick up signs for the airport.

Continue until M42 turns into A42, you will pick up signs for the airport.
Picking up your hire car at Avis East Midlands Airport
When arriving at East Midlands Airport, please call us on 01332 811 529 or +44 7758 254 673 and we will pick you up from the Avis pick-up point located outside Arrivals. You will be transfered by a free Avis courtesy bus to the office to collect you hire car. This journey will take approx 7 minutes.
Upon arrival, Avis Preferred customers will need to announce themselves as a Preferred customer where we will have their pre-printed rental documentation and vehicle keys ready.
There is no additional charge if you have a reservation and your flight is delayed or diverted. No out of hours reservations will be met without valid method of payment and flight details.
The fee for pre-booked and confirmed out of hours reservations is £20 for up to 2 hours after the location closing time and £40 for anything after. Vehicle keys cannot be left at the airport information desk or other third party.
Returning your carIn-hours return procedure
During these times please return your car to the Avis office located at the Air Cargo Centre on Argosy Road, just off Beverley Road opposite the Royal Mail Cargo Centre. We will then take you back to the Airport Terminal with the Avis minibus shuttle.
Any cars returned to the short-stay car park at the airport during these periods will incur a Parking Charge and liability will be the customers.
Out-of-hours return procedure
Cars should be returned to the short-stay car park of East Midlands Airport. The car should be left in Row D, the ticket that allows access to the car park MUST be left on the driver's seat and the key for the car can then be posted in the Avis key drop box which is located outside arrivals at the Avis collection point.
Any car left without a ticket, or with a ticket returned to the key drop-box will incur a charge which will be passed on to the customer.
