One-way car hire fees are included in your quote. These fees vary depending on your route and country, so it’s worth exploring a few return options to find the most cost-effective one-way journey. You may be able to avoid these fees entirely by collecting and returning your vehicle within the same city area – but always check at the time of booking.
Some extras may not be available for one-way rentals. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know during the booking process.
Can I rent a car and return it elsewhere?
Yes, Avis offers one-way car hire, allowing you to pick up a vehicle at one location and return it to another. This service is available across the UK and Europe, including major airports and city centres. Simply select 'Return to a different location' when booking.
Is one-way car hire available for under 25s?
Yes, drivers aged 21–24 can access one-way rentals, subject to an underage surcharge. However, certain vehicle categories – such as luxury models, full-size SUVs, minivans, and passenger vans – are restricted for under-25s.
