But whether you’re an Avis Preferred customer or not, our Best Price Guarantee always saves you time and money. If you find a lower, qualifying Avis rate on another site, we’ll match that base rate plus give you an additional 10% off your rental base rate. And that’s a promise.
How to qualify for the Avis Best Price Guarantee
- Book at least 72 hours in advance of when you’ll be picking up your Avis rental car.
- The submitted comparison base rate must be found on another site within 24 hours of booking your Avis rental on this website.
- The comparison base rate must be identical to your Avis rental – same rental station, vehicle group, dates, time, duration of the rental and terms of payment.
- The comparison offer must be available online, on a local website, immediately and in the same currency as the rental booked on this website.
How to get the price difference AND the 10% discount refunded
- Refund claims must made within 72 hours of the Avis booking being made.
- Incomplete or late applications (outside of the 72-hour window) are not covered by the Avis Best Price Guarantee. Offers which cannot be proven online within the review period are also excluded.
- If approved, the lower rate and 10% discount will be processed within five (5) corporate business days from the last day of your Avis rental and returned to the credit card originally used. The refund may not appear for in your account for a further seven (7) business days in line with your bank's processes.
- All refund claims are checked by Avis within 5 working days.

- Avis Preferred bookings made on this website can benefit from a cheaper base rate to non-Avis Preferred bookings. This doesn't apply to corporate accounts.
- The Avis Best Price Guarantee applies only to prepaid Avis rentals being picked up in the UK mainland, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland and Portugal.
- “Base rate” means only the base ‘time and mileage’ charges for the vehicle and excludes any other charges or fees including, but not limited to, taxes, fuel, surcharges, or optional services such as ancillary or cover products (such as damage waiver or personal accident insurance).
- Comparison offer must not be the subject of any reduction using vouchers, bonus points or other discounts.
- The comparison offer must be bookable separately and may not be part of a package.
- Excludes comparative offers, which are granted based on a discount or AWD, commercial customer contracts or other special agreements for closed user groups.
- The offer is only valid for pre-paid car rentals booked directly through this website or the Avis app and not for bookings made (i) on affiliate websites linked directly to the Avis website; (ii) by telephone via the reservation centre; (iii) directly at a rental station; or (iv) on Avis websites in other countries.
- Customers will be required to provide Avis with evidence of the price comparison through a screenshot showing the comparable price. This screenshot must be sent as part of the claim form to a dedicated email address at Avis (local email address) within 72 hours of the Avis booking being made on this site.
- You must provide us with evidence of the source of the lower rate on the email, to include but not be limited to: full name, address, telephone number, email address, Avis booking number, URL and screenshot of the cheaper offer, travel dates (date and time of collection and return), requested vehicle category as well as the rental pick-up and return station.
- From the evidence provided, we must be able to verify the lower online published rate is not available at (local Avis website). We will verify the comparison rental car rate within ten days of receiving your claim and notify you of the results via email. If the evidence provided is insufficient to verify the claim, we will contact you to provide us with additional evidence as necessary. If additional evidence is required, it must be provided in a timely manner or your claim may not be verified before your rental.
- Offer is not valid if you have cancelled your booking with Avis.
- Avis Best Price Guarantee and additional rebate is offered as a goodwill gesture and Avis reserves the right to modify the Avis Best Price Guarantee terms or to restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability.
- Avis may reject multiple claims from the same claimant and Avis reserves the right to deny or reject a claim as a result of an Avis or third-party printing, technical, or other error, or where such claim is, in our sole discretion, made fraudulently or in bad faith. The failure by Avis to enforce any term or condition herein shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other term or condition.
