Heather Richardson is an award-winning, freelance travel writer - originally from Sheffield, UK. Having caught the travel bug before university, Heather has moved around extensively ever since.
She's lived in both Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, relocating to sunny Cape Town, South Africa, at the beginning of 2017.
Journalism has been at the forefront of Heather’s adult life. In the early post-university days, she gained work experience in the industry at the BBC and also in India. After joining the luxury travel company Jacada Travel, Heather won her first writing award, editing the company's print magazine - The Explorer.
She now works as a freelance travel writer for various international publications and as a copywriter for travel brands. When she’s not travelling, she can usually be found trail-running around Table Mountain or exploring the Cape's famous Winelands.
