Warrington is a small English town sitting on the banks of the river Mersey. When you arrive at Warrington Quay Train Station Avis would ask you to transfer to our location at Unit 3, Hawleys Trade Park, Warrington by taxi or tube.

Chester is just 40 minutes from Warrington along the M56. This beautiful town has much to offer visitors, including the best-preserved city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman amphitheatre in the United Kingdom. Chester Cathedral is over 1,000 years old and open for tours. Be sure to check out Chester Zoo – home to 12,000 animals – while you’re in town.
Liverpool
Famously known as the birthplace of The Beatles, many visitors flock to this vibrant city to get closer acquainted with the band’s roots. At The Beatles Story attraction, you can learn how this band’s career started. If you’re interested in more general English history, Liverpool has plenty of this too. Visit the Museum of Liverpool to find out about the area, before visiting the Albert Dock, which first opened in 1846. This area is filled with fine shops, museums and art galleries, housed in a complex of old warehouses. Liverpool is just a 35-minute drive along the M62 from Warrington.
Peak District National Park
Accelerate 50 minutes east of Warrington via the M56 and you’ll reach the stunning Peak District National Park. The scenic drive into this lush winding landscape is worth the journey itself. With its moors, rivers, natural springs, caverns and more, this is an area of enchanting natural beauty. Stop at one of the many small villages, like Ashbourne or Bakewell, to enjoy traditional tea and admire the old architecture.
