About Gothenburg Landvetter Airport
Gothenburg Airport (GOT) also known as Göteborg Landvetter Airport is the second largest airport in Sweden after Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
First opened in 1977 by Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and today welcomes over 5m passengers a year as well as being a key cargo destination for the west of Sweden. The airport has a single terminal which was extended in 2023 with new gates and increased facilities and seating to improve the passenger experience.
There is a regular shuttle bus to the centre of Gothenburg and there are plans in the pipeline to connect the Airport to Gothenburg Central Station with a new high speed rail line.
Today the airport serves 58 destinations in 27 countries with daily flights to Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The airport is located on the eastern side of the city of Gothenburg with good road access via the Route 40 and Route 27 highways.
